Policies and Expectations

Massage can be a great experience when you have piece of mind and know what to expect.  The following are the policies and expectations for services.

What can I expect during the massage session?

  • The massage includes an intake interview which helps the massage therapist understand your wants and needs for treatment.  After the intake interview, the therapist will step out of the room to allow you to undress to your comfort level, you will lay on the massage table under sheets to maintain your privacy and safety.  After you are covered, the therapist will enter the room and begin treatment.  Absolutely no genitals or breast tissue will be massaged or uncovered; only the areas being massaged will be undraped and then redraped.  At the end of the massage, the therapist will let you know the massage has ended and then step out to allow you time to get dressed.  Lastly, the therapist will check-in with you to see how you feel and if you have any questions regarding the treatment.

What are your payment options?

  • Cash, Venmo, and Credit cards are both acceptable payment methods.  A credit card will be needed to reserve your appointment.

What if I need to cancel or reschedule my appointment?

  • You may cancel or reschedule your appointment up to 24 hours prior to your massage appointment at no charge.  We understand life happens and on rare occasions you may need to cancel or reschedule with less than 24 hours notice.  As a courtesy to you and the massage therapist, the credit card used to reserve your appointment will be charged for 50% of the scheduled service and you will have the opportunity to reschedule your appointment for a date and time that works for you and the therapist.
  • To prevent the spread of disease and infection, you will be advised to reschedule your appointment if you are feeling ill or had the following symptoms wtihin 2 days of your scheduled appointment: fever, cough, sneezing, shortness of breath, chills, sore throat, loss of smell/taste, diarrhea, vomiting, and/or nausea.  Massage while infected with a virus or infection can tax the body and systems, and may leave you feeling worse after the session.  To ensure the safety and health of all parties involved, it's best to reschedule the session when you are healthy and well.  ***You will not be charged a fee for rescheduling your appointment with less than 24 hours notice if it's due to illness.***

What if I am late to my appointment?

  • Late appointments will be accepted, however, the treatment time will not be extended and the full service will be charged.

Can I request "special" services from the massage therapist?

  • The massage therapist will only stay in scope of massage therapy modalities she has received training, licensing, and/or certification for.  Any requests for services out of scope of the therapist will be referred to another therapist.
  • Additionally, SEXUAL REQUESTS, HARASSMENT, AND/OR ACTS by the client or therapist will NOT be tolerated.  If this conduct is initiated by the client, the session will end immediately, the full service will be charged, and the client will be discharged from the therapist.

Should I bathe before my appointment?

  • For hygiene and safety purposes, please bathe at least 24 hours prior to the appointment.  Come to the session with clean skin and clothes.  Gritty/dirty skin and clothes can be a health hazard for the therapist and/or client.  The therapist reserves the right to refuse service if skin/clothes are not clean.
